All Terrier Motives was established in February 1999 and has a proud eleven year history in the pet care industry. The business is recommended by, and affiliated with, many of Melbourne's leading veterinarians and pet care professionals.

Jeff Richards is proud to be the founder, owner and operator of one of Melbourne's original dog walking and pet care companies - All Terrier Motives Pet Care.

The business is fully insured and Jeff is first aid trained with references and police checks available for your peace of mind. All Terrier Motives office is centrally located on St Kilda hill and our services extend to most inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Many have since followed in Jeff's path and made successful businesses through their passion for animals. These days there are a great many options for pet owners in Melbourne from dog walkers to groomers to pet sitters to day care facilities - you name it and you'll find someone offering it.

Unfortunately as the pet care industry is not regulated nor overseen by a governing body there is now a plethora of business owners in Melbourne who see the industry as a 'good earner'. They often employ underpaid, sometimes transient staff, whilst packing their commercial cargo vans to the roof with dogs in an effort to maximise income.

We always recommend people seeking the services of a dog walker outside of our area ask just how many dogs the business walks per group, where the dogs are collected from and how many groups they walk per day. Jeff does not employ staff (much to the joy of both him and his clients) but is fortunate to have friends that help mind the business in his occasional absense with his charity work. All Terrier Motives clients know exactly who is walking their dogs or entering their property to mind their cats.
